Nov 12, 2019

Belgrade Cooperative matches grant with the Land O' Lakes foundation and CoBank Sharing Success program to give a donation to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school for the Color Fun Run, annual golf tournement, and for the new Jagways program.

The Jagways program is a new program at BBE schools that implements a career-based advisory and curriculum for the 9-12 students. Jagways consists of three major areas of workforce readiness and include CME (Construction, Manufactoring, and Engineering); Healthcare & Human Services and Business Occupations, also has been incorporated into the district graduation requirements.

BBE High School is blowing up deeply embedded barriers to enable studnets to get the right classes at the right time to continue their skill development into desired career pathways. Becoming ready for the workforce requires alterations in all of these systems to provide the most focused program to each individual student. Connections with local businesses have provided students with an opportunity to do youth apprenticeships in their areas of interest to help students get a better understand and get an idea of what career they want to be in. Jagways has been built through workforce connections locally and regionally.
