Field Update

May 27, 2021

Crops are emerging surprisingly okay for the most part. Anything planted shallower than 2 inches is showing to be a bit spotty as far as emergence goes on the corn, but most kernels that have not sprouted are still firm and should emerge once a good soaking rain happens. The emerging kernels will have the ability to produce a decent cob still, but will be weaker than the earlier emergers.
Weeds are showing up very heavy in fields with no premerge chemical application, we suggest that you keep a close eye on those fields. Fields with "pre’s" are beginning to show some weeds as well, but not nearly as much pressure.
