Propane Service

Belgrade Cooperative designs and installs the right tank system for your home, including interior and exterior gas lines, appropriate pressure regulators and tank monitors to determine delivery timing. Tanks can be purchased outright or leased on an annual basis.

Delivery Options

Our residential customers can choose one of two delivery options:

  • Scheduled delivery (recommended): We monitor your tank and our drivers make automatic deliveries based off your usage. Your tank is also topped off before the start of the heating season. This is the most convenient option for you since you don’t have to worry about monitoring your tank gauge.
  • Will-call: You are responsible for checking your gauge and scheduling a delivery before your tank is empty. We recommend you place an order when your gauge reads at 25 percent to avoid emergency refill fees. Click here to learn about emergency refill fees that can be incurred when using will call service

Payment Options

Members who have an account in good standing are able to charge deliveries and services. Deliveries and service work are due in full in the 15th of the month proceeding the invoice date. We offer budget payment plans and have access to energy assistance programs in several counties.

Acceptable forms of payment include:

Contracts

Belgrade Cooperative offers a number of options for contracting propane for members. This is a seasonal event that takes place for a two week session in May and a two week session in August. **

  • Prepay: Under this option, a customer can pay in full for contracted gallons for delivery between Nov. 1 and April 30. The number of contracted gallons is based on the customer’s past consumption history. If a customer surpasses all of their contracted gallonage, they are charged the current market price for additional gallons.
  • Deposit contract: Similar in terms to the prepay option, the deposit contract requires customers to put down a prepayment of 20 cents per gallon for contracted gallons that are locked in for deliveries made between Nov. 1 and April 30. The customer is then billed for the remaining price per gallon upon delivery.
  • Budget contract: Customers who use this option are billed for their contracted gallons in 12 equal monthly installments, beginning in May and ending in April of the following year. Customers can start using gallons earlier under this option.
